When do stretch marks start in pregnancy?


Stretch marks usually appear around the end of the second trimester or as you start your third trimester. This is when your belly is rapidly expanding to accommodate your growing baby. You may notice stretch marks more as you continue to put on weight. For most pregnant women, stretch marks also appear on their bottom, hips, thighs, breasts or upper arms.   • Get your whole body massaged with aroma oil and moisturizer to keep the skin moist. Following this routine during pregnancy will help you reduce the chances of getting stretch marks after pregnancy.

  • A healthy and balanced diet during pregnancy will improve elasticity, increase collagen production, and help in tissue repair and growth.
